Paul Bushell and David Brown Heritage Grave Restoration Project - Bulletin 3

Here are the names of the children and grandchildren of the David Brown who arrived on the Pitt in 1792 and his wife Eleanor Fleming. David's son-in-law Paul Bushell was a few years older than David, and arrived on the Second Fleet in 1790, aboard Surprize. After David's death in 1826, Paul Bushell often acted as head of the family before his own death in 1853.

The names of the family members buried on the site covered by the Paul Bushell and David Brown Heritage Grave Restoration Project are highlighted in red. As outlined in Report No 2, nine names are inscribed on the altar monuments (the correct name for my previous term 'false coffins') and one name on a headstone. Everyone listed has a connection to the grave through their founding father David Brown and founding mother Eleanor Fleming, both buried here, so we hope that descendants of all the 'lines' will contribute generously to the grave restoration project, once the fund-raising campaign begins.
